NFC Vulnerabilities Investigation

The evolving Internet of Things is based on short-range technologies such as Bluetooth, RFID, and so on. However, one of the biggest drawbacks of such technologies is their vulnerability. This paper addresses such vulnerabilities of NFC technology, which belongs to the RFID class, as the signal interception, and jamming capabilities research. The signal produced by the NFC scanner and tag was analyzed during the research. The maximum distance was investigated at which it was possible to record a signal of 13.56 MHz. The jamming of the signal was performed with the specially designed generator and by using another NFC reader.
