Nowadays tether powered aerial vehicles are widely used in different branches of economics. They can be used for wildfire monitoring, video shooting of the area, mobile connection etc. Such devices are orientated in the space using navigation systems (GPS or GLONASS). If there are problems with obtaining the signal, some difficulties for the vehicle can take place. It is the reason to develop reserve navigation system which allows the device orientated without the satellite signal. We suppose the navigation system which is based on radiobeacons. We describe the advantages of this system and analyze the experience which has been obtained by different authors, and we discuss the possible error while calculating the coordinates.
